Catching Up

Recently I completed a set of Bar Mitzvah invitations for my nephew Alex. He's an Ohio State fan, so we went with red and grey double matted invitations. Pictures will be up soon!

I am beginning to work on two sets of First Communion invitations. I'm working with silver and white with one client, and possibly silver, blue, and white for the other.

Ladybug Party!

Carol asked me to make invitations for her sweet daughter Candy's third birthday party. The theme was ladybugs, and as she's done in the past, Carol gave me the green light to create as I pleased.

These are very simple single-matted cards with a lady bug button embellishment. After the ladybugs were nestled on the cards, I thought they needed a little extra something. I thought loopy flying dashed lines would finish this off perfectly.

New Tag Invitation!

Sarah stumbled upon Toasted Glitter while searching for tag invitations online.

Sarah and her friend are hosting a baby shower in a few weeks, so turn around time was key. We selected two colors of textured cardstock, and discussed the text. Since the mom-to-be is traveling a distance after the shower, the tag invitation was a natural...to mimic suitcase tags Sarah let me go from there--and this is the result.

The tags are sage and pink. The front of the tag contains the details of the event. The back of the tag is covered in the same sage color paper. I used two different ribbons to finish off the look. Finished size of the invitations are 6" tall by 4.25" wide. A small insert card was included that gave registry information.

Sarah received her invitations today and was very pleased with the results. Thanks, Sarah!

Snowflakes for the New Year

I found this glittery lace cardstock and knew it'd be perfect for this New Year's Eve party invitation. I combined it with bling'd Bazzill and used brads to keep it all together. And, just like snowflakes...each one is a bit different!

Pocket Invitation in Pink

Here's another sample of a pocket invitation. The client wanted pink, pink, and more pink for her daughter's Pinkalicious birthday party. These pocket invitations are made using textured Bazzill cardstock, pretty pattern paper, and vellum.

Pocket invitations lend themselves to so many different events. Lucky Me tags

Dawn Marie is a friend of mine, and she has a neat line of purses, key fobs, and other accessories. I love the purses, and I am a fan of the key fob. It slips right over my wrist...no more digging in my purse.

She asked me to make tags for her fobs. I made a bunch and put them in a clear glass jar from IKEA. I love her colors- hot pink, black, and white.

American Idol party - tag invitation

I love this tag invitation! Elayne is a huge fan of American Idol, and asked me to make invitations for a "Girls' Night" finale party. The finished size of this tag is 5.5" x 3.75". I added self-adhesive rhinestones for a bit of bling.

Rachel's Bat Mitzvah Invitation

These invitations are the same style as the dual flap cards I made for another order. Rachel and I worked together, along with my sister-in-law, to choose the colors and style that fit her event. In addition to this invitation, there will be an enclosure detailing the reception. The finished size of this invitiation is 5x7, closed.

Rachel's Bat Mitzvah

My niece Rachel has turned that magical age and we are celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in a few months. Rachel asked me to make her invitations, and I was thrilled! We spent time over the Christmas holiday picking out paper together with her mom (my SIL) and it was fun!

Rachel asked to have two different colors for the invitations for her friends. These are the same, save for the color difference. Specific details have been removed for public posting.

I'll post the invitations for family and friends in a little bit.

Final size of this invitation is 4x9.

Dual Flap Card

This card was fun to create! It ties with a ribbon, held in place with a buckle/ribbon slider. When untied, the flaps open to reveal the invitation inside.

Envelope and Invite in One!

This invitation features two different cardstock papers, vellum overlay, and an embellishment. When the two green sides are folded in, the pink flaps fold over them and form an envelope. A cute seal that matches the interior paper finishes the invitation. Cost: 20 invitations for $55 plus shipping.

Gatefold Cards

This is a "gate fold" invitation. The size of this card can vary depending on the event. This particular invitation was for a christening.

When the ribbon is untied, the interior is displayed. I used the same patterned paper on the inside as I did on the outside.
The client requested that I create a thank-you card that would allow them to send a picture of their child. I used the same color carstock and patterned paper for the base of the card, and sewed vellum on the front with the sentiment pre-printed.

I like working with square invitations. This one was for my daughter's birthday. I chose a glitter-embellished vellum, and used a brad to hold a coordinating cardstock paper for the party information. The possibilities are endless, and can be customized to any event.
